This reminds me of a story a co-worker told me. When he lived in Alabama he once drove a black co-worker home in the middle of the day so he could get something he needed for work. My co-worker is white and police approached him, asking him what business he had in the neighbourhood, which was predominantly black. He explained things and all was well, though the police added that they found that most white people who go into that neighbourhood are trying to buy drugs. The one white person the police saw, they questioned, because they'd historically found a high probability of discovering criminal behaviour. One can say this is racial profiling, but when it frequently returns positively, it becomes quite rational and warranted.

I read a paper 5-10 years ago that the reason the Ivy League exists is because its students came from old New England money. They were elite. This is the reason that the CIA only hired from the Ivy League. Not only did they get well educated employees but also more patriotic ones, because they had a lot to lose. 40 years ago university in Britain was reserved for the top 5% of the academically able, and courses were rigourous and challenging, debate of differing and dissenting opinion was commonplace, if not mandatory. Roll forward to present day and we find in Britain 40% of school leavers heading to university, so in order for this additional 35% to complete the course and achieve a qualification, the teaching has been "dumbed down" were this not the case then the 35% would leave early or fail the qualification. Since the increase of "Midwit" university attendance we now have those of first cohort now running the various institutions upon which society relies and with the obvious failings of those institutions due to inept management beyond the ability of those at the top, who have been led to believe in their own misguided capabilities thanks to the mediocrity indoctrination of university. These universities have ceased to be centres of learning and curiosity and have been replaced with indoctrination by rote, of emotion over scientific fact, and the suppression of any dissenting voices. Students now lack the intellectual ability to engage in debate of anything that may challenge the propaganda to which they have been exposed, they scream and cancel rather than trying to debate because they are incapable of reasoned debate.

Why is it that the labor class worth so little and the upper tier worth so much . Their not that much smarter or necessary to command such a pay difference but their greed is off the chart .
